If you want to see a snippet of true love, then please watch this. It is a 4 minute montage of my sister and Adam's wedding on October 20. Be blessed by this as I was.
If you have a few minutes, I encourage you to watch this. I was so moved this morning at church when our pastor said he was at a loss to describe his Savior, then gave way for this pastor - SM Lockridge, many decades ago- to tell of the indescribable love and admiration for his Jesus. We all stood to our feet in praise - the words are exquisite, yet still inadequate.
Enjoy and please share this Christmas season.
This is a special Mother's Day for me personally: it is the 3rd year that I am a mom to Noah, the 1st year that I am a mom to Ellyotte and the 1st year that I can celebrate being a mama to my precious babies that I am alive to raise. This past year has been so scary for me at times - healthwise - that I am truly, truly thankful to be present on this earth with my children and my husband this mother's day. Here is a special video that my family really appreciates this year more than ever before. In November, we lost my precious Aunt Mamie (the redhead in the video next to Mrs. Gloria Grant) and just last week, we all lost another lifelong friend, Mrs. Gloria Grant (Amy Grant's mother) in Nashville. Mamie and Gloria and Jeananne (the gorgeous blonde in the video) were inseparable so these past five months have been tough as we said goodbye to two of the threesome. About 10 years ago, Oprah did a Mother's Day show and invited Amy's mom, Mrs. Gloria, to be on it. Mrs. Glo took her best friends, Mamie (my aunt) and Mrs. Jeananne to the show with her. They are sitting to Mrs. Glo's left.
As you will see in the video, they didn't know that Oprah had Amy and her sisters surprise Mrs. Gloria. She was truly surprised and the whole group had an incredibly memorable time together during the taping and after as they enjoyed Chicago. Aunt Mamie still drank out of her Oprah mug up until her death in November!
This video is priceless to me and to my family because it allows us to see our Mamie and Gloria the way they truly were on this earth: vibrant, happy, alive. I am so thankful that someone saved this clip and posted it onto youtube.
Kelly and I are blessed to have OUR mom love us the way she does. She's truly selfless and is daily pleading the Blood over her girls, husband, and now son-in-law and grandbabies. She's the glue that holds our family together - she always has been. There are no words to describe my gratitude and eternal love for my Mama, Janice Hawkins. She's God's greatest gift to the Hawkins/Beall family. I love you, Mom.
This is a cute clip of Noah just running on the beach of Panama City, Florida. He LOVED it. Dan and I will take him back to the condo the first week of May and cannot wait for a weeklong BEACH vacation! We certainly miss that aspect of living in Hawaii - being landlocked has taken some getting used to!
Here is our beautiful boy at just 18 months naming his body parts! This is obviously filmed in our very new home in Louisiana - so please excuse the disarray in the background. We are certainly proud of our little man and how much he talks!
Here's our little dancer :)
Watching this one makes us three ache for our island of Oahu. Our friends, our house, the weather, our church... that was our home. And our boy loved the beaches of Hawaii.
This is about a 4 minute video of Noah being so silly! He starts swaying and running into things/falling down when he's tired. He loves to put the camera bag around his neck all the time but when he's tired, it makes him even more unsturdy.
Noah LOVES to be chased - especially by his daddy at the end of the day. And lately, he's been trying to get Piper to chase him. So when he started doing it last night while he was already super tired, silly and with the camera bag around his neck, it was hilarious! He giggled and giggled and soon Piper caught onto what he was doing and started being silly with him.
I never watch You Tube videos unless they feature my child/family or my friends' children or families. However, someone sent this video to me a couple of years back and when I am having a bad day or just need a good laugh, I watch this clip. It can bring me to tears I laugh so hard. Have a Happy Hump Day and watch this clip! Hope it makes you smile ;)
Here are some cute videos from our trip to Maui. The first one is my favorite - a cute little girl came up to Noah to "talk" and she let out a loud squeal in his face. It excited him so much that he ran over to a doorway and let out the most shrill squeal ever! Listen closely. Be sure to pause our music player at the very bottom of this page so you can hear the videos.
Dan's been able to get home before Noah goes to bed (he's such an early bedtime kinda guy!) which is really unusual. Dan's been having to work 2 weeks straight, 14 hour shifts so he's been getting home at around 6 pm allowing us all some time to hang as a family.
With the long hours, Dan loves to come home and have a beer (or 2 or more!) and Noah, wanting to do everything his daddy does, wants to have one too. So, we put a cold Pepsi - or whatever is cold in the fridge - into one of Dan's koozies and without even having to open it, Noah pretends that he's drinking a big boy drink! After every fake "sip," he lets out a long and loud "mmmmmm" - which he's started doing for everything he puts in his mouth.
As you all know, Noah is a talker. He's got his own language and many are amazed how much the kid talks and how many words and phrases he already uses at 15 months. In the video, you can hear him saying "come here, Beaux" (he's still calling every dog "Beaux" since our trip home in March).
He's amazing: he says so many things like "ooo, pwetty" when he sees something he likes; "cheese," "peas" still for "please," "dank oooo" for "thank you," "kitty, kitty," "bah" for his bottle or cup, the list goes on and on. Dan calls him the "Fifth Element" because in that movie, Milla Jovovich's character literally has her own language and we are daily learning that Noah does too.
We had a great dinner at Don Ho's downtown in Waikiki last night and a beautiful Hawaiian lady named Mihana sang for Noah. She sang a song that she wrote as she went along about our town where we live here in Hawaii, called Makakilo. He loved it! Of course, he was a bit ADD at the beginning but once he settled into his daddy's lap, he was fixated on Mihana and her guitar.
Noah is the most talkative baby we have ever seen. He's been chatting away since he was about 7-8 months old and now he's even more loud and verbal at 14.5 months! He knows how to make a point and how to be heard.
Dan calls him his little Italian redhead: the kid YELLS "Ma-MAH" over and over and louder and louder till I answer him. He sounds so Italian!
This is a cute video of Noah I took right before we went downtown to meet his daddy for our date night last night.
