This could get interesting...

Well, as you all know, we still have no assignment but are due to move in June regardless. There are LOTS of pieces to the puzzle of moving in the military: we have to have an assignment in order to set up a move with a local company, in order to give our landlord a move out date, in order to begin looking at housing options on the other end, in order to set up shipping of our animals... the list goes on and on. None of this we can do without having an assignment, not to mention the orders that accompany the assignment so all of the above mentioned can be put into motion. To say we are frustrated is an incredible understatement, especially since we know we won't be told our assignment till the end of April now. That leaves us 1 month to set up a move across the Pacific Ocean.

Dan worked the nightshift last night so he's currently asleep (it is 9:30 am on Friday). I just got a phone call from our (WONDERFUL) landlord, John. He informed me that our house that we have lived in and loved for 3 years now is going on the market on Tuesday as a short sale. He explained that they are listing it for an unbelievably low price so it will sell quickly and go right into escrow. I tried to get Dan up so he could also hear the conversation but he didn't budge so I had to deal with this information alone. John assured me that this wouldn't affect our lease at all but what terrifies me is that we won't get orders in time to set up a move in June and it will be pushed back till later in the summer and we will essentially be kicked out of our home with a baby, a dog and a cat.

This is not good... Please join us in praying that our assignment drops soon so we can begin the moving process.
